Lani Stait-Sylva

Raised in Annandale Virginia, soprano Lani Stait now calls Chicago her home. Recently, as a young artist with Chicago Opera Theater Lani was featured in the roles of Anna Gomez/TheConsul and Isolt/The Love Potion, and appeared in Il Pigmalione & Rita, Fairy Queen, and The Perfect American. This year, Lani had the immense honor of singing to Ruth Bader Ginsberg as part of her lecture tour at the Auditorium Theater, she won theMusicians Club of Women Ginger Meyer Scholarship in Voice, the Sinfonietta Bel Canto Emerging Artist 1st place award, and 1st place in the highest division of the NATS competition. Lani is an alumna of Roosevelt University, University of Michigan, and University of Cincinnati. Upcoming she will be performing the role of Donna Anna/Don Giovanni with Petite Opera, and in recital with the Musicians Club of Women.
