We’re Singing in the Kitchen!

It’s been a rough 2020. Let’s usher in a sparkling New Year! Why not do what the Viennese do?  Enjoy life! Celebrate!  We’ll cook, eat, and sing like we’re in Old Vienna! No need to leave the house. We’re bringing the celebration to you!

Join Folks Operetta co-founders Alison Kelly and Gerald Frantzen, on a musical and culinary trip to old Vienna as they cook a fabulous meal and sing some of their favorite Viennese Operetta arias from the past fifteen years. They’ll share stories about Viennese food, culture, and operetta and show you how to make these classic dishes.

While the food is cooking, you’ll be able to enjoy performances from some of Folks Operetta’s talented performers:  Rodell Rosel, Katherine Petersen,  Angela Yu, William Roberts, Rose Guccione, Matthew Carroll, Anatoliy Torchinskiy, Alison Kelly and Gerald Frantzen. They’ll entertain you with songs from some of our legendary past shows, including Clo Clo, The Girl in the Train, The Flower of Hawaii, The Csárdás Princess, and Ball at the Savoy.

The menu will include:

Gulasch, Spaetzle, Rotkohl (braised red cabbage), a lovely Linzer Torte, and a generous helping of music by Lehár, Fall, Kálmán, and Abrahám.
